Top Ten Survey Sites

I mentioned in Monday's article Just Say No To Credit Cards how you can make extra money online in order to avoid using a credit card. The easiest and most popular way to make money online is by signing up on different websites to take surveys. The payout is low, but anyone with a little time and a computer can start making money immediately. But not all sites pay cash. Some of them you earn points that can be redeemed for gift cards and other prizes. So if you're interested in making a little money, getting gift cards to your favorite stores, or winning prizes then check out my top ten survey sites.
1. Globaltestmarket - You'll find these guys on everyone's top ten list and they happen to be my personal favorite. They give you points for each survey you complete and once you reach 1,000 points, you can cash out for $50. I have done this before and yes they do send a check directly to you. The only downside to me is the high payout.
Potential Earnings - $50 - $150 per month
2. Survey Spot - Their surveys are easy to navigate and often include high tech graphics, which provides a change from the redundant text only surveys. For each survey you take you'll be entered into an instant win game and also a sweepstakes. Other surveys will pay cash in addition to the sweepstakes.
Potential Earnings - $25 - $45 a month
3. E-Rewards - I just redeemed my points for a $25 American Eagle gift card from this company yesterday. Each survey you take is giving a monetary value and once you reach a certain level you can redeem for gift cards, airline miles, magazine subscribtion, etc. I had to earn $45 in order to get a $25 gift card.
Potential Earnings - $10 - $15 a month
4. Pinecone Research - Another site that is consistently in the top 10. Their best quality is that if you start a survey for them, you will get paid for it. No more of this filling out a survey for 15 minutes to find out you didn't qualify. The downside, they're hard to get into. So if you find out they're accepting new panelists hurry to join.
Potential Earnings - $20 - $35 a month
5. Greenfield Online - Started in 1994 and has become one of the most well known survey sites on the web. They offer surveys for cash and also for entries into a sweepstakes. They pay you via Paypal and there's no minimum to get paid, which is always nice.
Potential Earnings - $15 - $20 a month
6. Ipsos-i-Say - Ipsos is primarily a rewards and sweepstakes site. You take surveys which earn you tickets and you get entered into drawings. When you earn enough tickets you can redeem them for gift cards. If you participate in most of their surveys you will become and VIP member which will increase your chances to win sweepstakes & prizes.
Potential Earnings - $10 - $15 a month
7. Clear Voice Surveys - Another well respected online survey company. Once you reach $10 you can take your earnings in cash, debit card, or Amazon gift certificates. They are known for having shorter surveys and not wasting your time. Definitely worth joining.
Potential Earnings - $10 - $15 a month
8. Opinion Outpost - Relatively new to the game, but quickly becoming a favorite. You get points for the surveys you complete and when you reach 50 points you can cash out for a $5 check by mail. 10 points = $1. Their average survey pays between $3 and $8.
Potential Earnings - $15 - $25 a month
9. American Consumer Opinion - One of the most reliable survey companies out there. Just don't expect to get a lot of surveys. On average most people receive 2 to 3 surveys a month. According to their website the surveys range from $4 to $50 depending on the length of the survey.
Potential Earnings - $5 - $10 a month
10. Surveys.com - This is a very innovative survey company that allows you access new products and services before the general public through their software called Promptcast. It is perfectly safe and will even give you the opportunity to check out new movie trailers before anyone else sees them. They send 2 to 3 surveys a month and you get paid through paypal.
Potential Earnings - $5 - $10 a month
