Good Friday

Back in January, I wrote a post titled Not Part of My Job Description. In it I talked about my company laying off people and their ideas to cut costs. One of those ideas involved me getting my commercial drivers license. I put it off for as long as I could, but I finally gave in and took my driving test this week. Miraculously I passed. I say it was a miracle because I had very little help from others to show me what I needed to know to pass. I had planned to practice a few more things that morning before I went, but work got really busy and I never had the chance. So, on the way down there I prayed and asked God to help me pass, for without Him I didn't have a chance. And sure enough, I passed. The instructor was very lenient, and I was very thankful. So now, I feel more secure in my job, and no longer stressed out.

Now, let's get to what's really important today. Today, we celebrate Good Friday. It is a day to remember what Christ did for us on the cross. I am very thankful for what He did on that day. And I no longer have to be stressed out about what happens after I die. He has promised me a home in Heaven. You too can experience that. He died for us all. It doesn't matter how good you are, how much money you make, or where you come from. All that matters is giving your life to Him.

I gave my life to Him 8 years ago, and have never looked back. It has been so much better than I could have ever dreamed. This weekend, let's remember our Savior.
