I don't personally find the light they emit very appealing; most of them have a very high-pitched sound that really annoys me; my experience with them is that they don't last as long as advertised; lastly they contain mercury which requires more care when disposing than ordinary incandescent bulbs.<br />2) The insurance comment is a common sales pitch for whole life insurance, but our actual needs for life insurance are different during different phases of our life.
